Advent Celebration “Hanging of the Greens” – Advent begins the Christian year with the celebration of Christ’s first and second comings. The unending circle of the wreath reminds us of Jesus’ divinity, his sacrifice, and his unending love. The evergreens point to Christ’s gift of life to us, now and forever. The candles set forth the contrast between the darkness of separation and exile with the light of restoration and hope.

Blankets for Veterans – In conjunction with the Chaplin’s Office of the Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home we meet to “tie” blankets for veterans. The group meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:30 to 10:15 AM in the Education Building, Room 201.

Bonclarken Cottage – The J.R. Young family gave their cottage located on the grounds of the Bonclarken Assembly grounds to the church many years ago. Young Memorial maintains the cottage whose primary use is for delegates and members attending Bonclarken conferences and events. It also is available for rent for family gatherings and small group retreats. Contact Linda Seeger in the church office for information or to make a reservation.
